This policy explains what personal information Hey Fanny Inc. (“Fanny”, “we”) collects, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We keep it in plain language on purpose.
Hey Fanny Inc. is a corporation registered in Canada, operating from Quebec. Our person responsible for the protection of personal information (privacy officer) is Charles Dumont, who can be reached at privacy@heyfanny.com.
Right now, heyfanny.com is a single page with a waiting list. If you enter your email address, we collect that email address and the date you submitted it. Nothing else. This site does not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.
When Fanny becomes available, the service will collect information you give us or authorize us to gather, including:
To create your ads, to publish them where you tell us to publish them, to bill you, to support you when something goes wrong, and to keep records the law requires us to keep. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s advertising.
We collect and use this information with your consent, given when you join the waiting list, create an account, or connect an account to Fanny. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to us, though some withdrawals will mean we can no longer provide the service.
We use service providers to run Fanny, and they only receive what they need to do their job: website and database hosting, email delivery, payment processing, Meta (to publish your ads), and artificial-intelligence providers that process your business information and photos in order to generate ad copy and creatives. These providers act on our instructions and are bound to protect the information.
Some of our service providers store or process information on servers located outside Quebec, including elsewhere in Canada and in the United States. Information held in another country may be accessible to authorities there under that country’s laws. We choose providers that offer a comparable level of protection and we limit what they receive.
Waiting-list emails are kept until we launch and you either become a customer or ask to be removed. Account and campaign information is kept while your account is active and for as long afterwards as we need it for legal, tax, and accounting obligations. After that it is deleted or anonymized.
You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, stop using it, or send you a copy in a portable format. Write to privacy@heyfanny.com and we will answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
We protect information with access controls, encryption in transit, and limits on who inside the company can see what. If a breach creates a risk of serious harm, we will notify the people affected and the appropriate authority as the law requires.
Fanny is a tool for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will post the new version here with a new date and, where required, tell you directly.
